We collect your ​information in a range of ways:

  • You provide it to us by submitting an enquiry, responding to a proposal, sharing your electricity bill or by contacting or messaging us

  • We obtain it from publicly available data sources like census data, real estate listings, council databases or Land Information New Zealand databases

  • We obtain it from third party providers like advertising partners, other service providers, metering companies, electricity companies, inverter suppliers, credit reference agencies, search engines and social media platforms

  • We create it through the equipment installed at your property including the metering equipment in the inverter or installed as part of the installation of a solar system which is used to meter the production from the system and your electricity consumption

​We only use your personal information in connection with the purpose for which it was collected, for a directly related purpose, with your authorisation, or for another purpose that is lawfully authorised. Some of the ways we make of your personal information include:

  • Providing you with a proposal to lease your roof

  • Entering into lease agreements

  • Organising installation and maintenance of our equipment installed at your property

  • Managing our relationships with our partner retailers, including their billing arrangements with you

  • Managing billing you directly if you are not with a partner retailer

  • To help us fulfill our obligations under the lease

  • Contacting you

  • Managing our relationship with you

  • Undertake credit reporting and credit checks, debt recovery, and checking your compliance with the terms of the lease

  • Marketing to you, including notifying you of new products and promotions, subject to you ability to unsubscribe from marketing communications

Sharing your personal information

We only share your personal information in connection with the original purpose for which it was collected, for a directly related purpose, with your consent, or for another lawful purpose.

We may also share your personal information with trusted third parties like service providers, business partners, agents, and advisors. We require such recipients to take appropriate measures to protect the information and restrict their use of it.  We may share your personal information with people who you approve or ask us to share it with including our partner electricity retailers.
